This 88 feet tall Samadhi Sambuddha giant statue has become a place that gives religious enlightenment not only to Kandy or Sri Lanka but to the whole Buddhist community of the entire world.

Bahirawakanda Mountain positioned opposite the Temple of Tooth Relic and its history dates back to the Kingdom of Kandy.
This beautifully sculpted white statue is positioned at the Peak of Bahirawakanda Mounta built and this was founded by Ampitiye Dammarama Thero.
Ven Ampitiye Dammarama Thero made this shrine an enduring temple in 1973
